Chickadee Feeders

Most chickadees are non-migratory, so you’ll often see them at your feeder in winter. This is notable because they are said to need up to 10 times more food in the winter than in summer. They eat a diet of seeds, berries, insects, invertebrates, and occasionally small portions of carrion. Chickadees also love to eat suet and peanut butter. However, chickadees have a penchant for storing food and eating it later, so they usually won't stick around at a feeder for very long.
